Fortnums is set in the heart of the beautiful Dandenong Ranges, in the quaint village of Sassafras, a short drive from iconic attractions such as Puffing Billy and the Rhododendron Gardens. Fortnums overlooks the spectacular nearby ranges and is set amongst picturesque gardens.

Fortnums has the bright airy look and feel of an English conservatory with a charming atmosphere created by warm friendly staff and relaxing music.

Our menu draws its inspiration from a variety of good honest comfort food and modern Australian cuisine. We are known near and far for our high quality lunch, desserts and High Teas, not to forget our famous traditional scones served with a variety of jams and conserves all made on our premises.

We serve a selection of local wines from the Yarra Valley and other Australian regions, and also stock a wide variety of local and imported beers and spirits.

Fortnums is open almost every week of the year, Wednesday to Sunday 11:00am to 4:00pm, and we welcome bookings and enquiries.

Fortnums can also cater for small and large group bookings and can create a set menu to suit your taste and budget. Dining in the restaurant or our private garden room overlooking our garden and Melbourne's skyline. If you are planning a birthday, an event or that very special day, your wedding, fortnums can offer itself as the premier boutique wedding and function Venue in the Dandenongs.

Merry Christmas
Come and join us for our famous Christmas Menu served 7 days a week until the 18th of December.
After this we will be back the day after Boxing Day and trade 7 days a week through January (but we will have a sneeky break on New Years Day!)
